A good quality, economical general purpose insulating tape, Scotch® 1710 Vinyl Insulating Tape's elastic backing ensures easy, moisture tight conformation to irregular surfaces. It combines the flexibility of a PVC backing with good electrical insulating properties to provide primary electrical insulation for splices up to 600V. Abrasion-, corrosion-, and UV-resistant, it makes a good protective jacketing. UL listed, it resists alkalis and acids, and is flame-retardant. This 7-mil tape offers good resistance to moisture, alkalis, acid, and varying weather conditions (including ultraviolet).
